A catechist is a person who facilitates the process of faith formation. A catechist is first called to echo the Word of God in his or her own life, and then help others do so as well.

Are you ready to teach the faith by
word and example?
Are you willing to be a witness to the Gospel?
Do you feel called to help others deepen their relationship with Christ, while
strengthening your own?
Did you answer YES to any of these questions?
Consider becoming a Catechist.
The main role of a catechist is to “echo” his/her experience of God's love. There's no need to be a trained theologian. All that is needed is a desire to share your love of God and the Catholic faith and help others discover God's presence in their lives.
At Holy Infant, we want to help you become the best catechist you can be. Catechists are expected to be committed to lifelong learning and attentive to their personal faith formation. The Faith Development Office highly encourages participation in catechist formation sessions.
