The Diocese of Raleigh has made great efforts to ensure safety and security for all children and youth while in the care of Church personnel. As a parish, Holy Infant abides by the Diocese of Raleigh's Child and Youth Protection policies. All parishioners who are involved directly in ministries or programs for children, youth and teens undergo a criminal background check and participate in Safe Environment Training designed to equip adults with skills to recognize and report child maltreatment. Contact the Faith Development Office to begin a criminal background check.
24/7 ONLINE RENEWAL (ENGLISH) for Safe Environment Training is OPEN! Instructions for sign-up can be found HERE. THIS SYSTEM IS FOR RENEWALS ONLY.
All catechists and volunteers who work with children, youth or teens are required to attend an in-person Safe Environment Training Workshop approved by the Diocese of Raleigh. Participation in a similar workshop provided by any other catholic Diocese or any other organization is not recognized. This workshop will be offered annually at Holy Infant. If people cannot attend this workshop, they may go to workshops in other parishes in the Diocese. Certification is valid for five years, after which the Safe Environment Workshop must be taken again.
