Home / Worship & Sacraments / Funerals

If you have experienced the death of a loved one, we extend our deepest sympathies to you, your family, and friends.

Prior to calling the funeral home, please call the parish Liturgy & Music Director to determine a date and time for the funeral and to schedule a time to meet with the Pastor and / or the Liturgy & Music Director to plan the funeral liturgy (scripture readings, music, etc.) .Dates and times should not be published in the media until after meeting with the pastor to ensure availability.

If you are considering cremation, you may wish to review the frequently-asked questions.

In the not-too-distant future, Holy Infant intends to have a columbarium on site as part of our new church building initiative. In the meantime, there are two Catholic-specific interment options in our immediate area: the cemetery at St. Matthew parish in northern Durham and the columbarium at St. Thomas More parish in Chapel Hill.  Please contact each parish directly with any questions you may have.

At this time of loss and grief, we encourage you to call and let us know how we can assist you.
