Parish Pastoral Council Application for 2022

- The purpose of the PPC is to collaboratively plan with the Pastor the means of carrying out the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as embodied in the mission statement of Holy Infant Parish. While the PPC is not a decision-making body, it does work closely with the Pastor to fulfill the mission of the Parish. The council works in good faith to advise and confer with the Pastor on matters regarding the Parish. The Pastor shall consider the advice of the PPC in a serious and thoughtful manner.
  
  Role:
  
  Prayerfully and thoughtfully represent the interests of the Parish community by helping the PPC discern how to utilize the resources of the Parish community.
  
  Provide guidance on pastoral matters by assisting the Pastor in researching issues, making and implementing decisions.
  
  Provide consistent communication between parishioners and the Pastor.
  
  Advocate for the Pastor, the Pastoral Plan and priorities to the Parish community. Lead with enthusiasm and commitment. Collaborate with members of the PPC and the Pastor.
  
  Commitment:
  
  Membership on the PPC is expected to be regarded with importance by the individual PPC members. Members are expected to fulfill the requirements of their job descriptions.
  
  Term: 3 years; Term may be extended upon mutual consent between PPC member and Pastor.
  
  Meetings: Attend all scheduled PPC meetings held approximately monthly from September through May (~1.5 hours each)
  
  Participate in standing and/or short-term ad hoc subcommittees as needed and as time allows.
  
  Maintain confidentiality as defined in the Personal Confidentiality Statement
  
  Qualifications:
  
  Active registered member of Holy Infant parish for a minimum of one year.
  
  Eighteen years or older and in full communion with the Catholic Church.
  
  Good communication skills
  
  A desire for spiritual growth in oneself and the Parish
