Those wishing to serve on the Parish Pastoral Council must be a registered member of Holy Infant contributing Time, Talent and Treasure for at least one year.
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) collaboratively plans with the Pastor in carrying out the message in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as embodied in the mission statement of Holy Infant Parish. While the PPC is not a decision-making body, it does work closely with the Pastor to fulfill the mission of the parish. The council works in good faith to advise and confer with the Pastor on matters regarding the parish. The Pastor shall consider the advice of the PPC in a serious and thoughtful manner. Parish commissions, ministries and other committees of the PPC may be formed to carry out specific aspects of this mission.
The PPC consists of up to 15 registered parishioners of Holy Infant Parish, including commission chairs and at-large members who serve for up to three years. PPC members can be either elected or appointed by the pastor and serve a term of three years. The PPC meets regularly between September and May.
