Salesian Spiritual Hour Held During Pilgrimage of the Sacred Relics of Saints

Parishioners traveled to Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Newman Catholic Student Center Parish to pray among Sacred relics of saints that will be placed in the main altar and the chapel altar at the dedication of Holy Name of Jesus.

Christ himself promised special blessings to those who honor religious figures: "He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man [saint] because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward" (Matt. 10:41). [source] It is in this spirit that Catholics venerate, or honor, saints by recalling their lives through relics.

On Wednesday morning, Holy Infant parishioners gathered in an intimate Holy Hour at Newman Catholic Student Center Parish and spent time praying, particularly through the intercession of Salesian saints. They also spent time meditating on the main virtues of Salesian spirituality: Gentleness, humility, and charity/love.
