High school teens invited to run for Parish Pastoral Council

Deadline for application is April 15. Do you feel called to serve on the council?

Starting in May, teenage parishioners will have a seat at the table on the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC).

Father Robert announced at recent weekend Masses that teens who are currently in high school are encouraged to apply for one of the two spots currently open on the council.

“I want teens to know that they have a say in making this parish a flourishing place to live Jesus,” Father Robert said.

The hope is that a teenage member will bring a fresh perspective and ideas that adults may not see, he said.

Members of the PPC work closely with the pastor to advise and confer on matters regarding the parish. Membership is open to active parishioners who have been registered with the parish for at least one year.

Council members serve a three-year term. A teen member will serve for three years or for the remainder of their time in high school.

The weekend of April 27 and 28 Holy Infant parishioners will elect two parishioners to serve on the Council. The Council’s Bylaws were recently changed to call for a parish-wide election of up to three members of the PPC each term.

Candidates are asked to complete a simple one-page application available online or in the Parish Office. Applications are due by April 15.
