New members appointed to the Parish Pastoral Council

An updated list of chairs, ministry coordinators is published in the June 9 bulletin.

Two parishioners applied to serve on the Parish Pastoral Council and were appointed in May. Kim McAllister serves as a member at large and Julian Brown, a teenage member, represents the youth of the parish on the council.

Kim and her family have been parishioners for 25 years. She has been a catechist, helped develop various Hi-Life gatherings, and participated in ministries such as Families Moving Forward, Respect Life and Share Your Christmas. Julian is involved in TYM and the music ministry.

Tracy Gentry, outgoing chair of the Faith Development Commission, is the new PPC chairperson. Tracy has been a catechist for much her time in the parish since 1988 and been on the PPC for four years. She has taught second graders preparing for First Reconciliation and Eucharist and taught Baptism workshops. Keri Reeves replaces Tracy as the new chair of the Faith Development Commission. Keri, whose family has been in the parish since 2007, has worked with young children in faith development, been involved with baptism preparation, and has two children of her own.

Members of the PPC work closely with the pastor to advise and confer on matters regarding the parish. See the June 9 bulletin for an updated list of parish chairs and ministry coordinators or call the office to receive a copy.
