Local Opportunity to Honor Life in the Lenten Season

40 Days for Life is an innovative pro-life campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and 40 days of grassroots educational outreach.

The 40 Days for Life Vigil in our area began Ash Wednesday and will run through March 25, 7am -7pm daily in Chapel Hill.   Parishioners are invited to join other Christians in our area for 40 days of prayer, fasting for an end to abortion and to stand peacefully and pray in the public right-of-way outside of Planned Parenthood, 1765 Dobbins Drive.   The 40- day time frame is drawn from examples throughout biblical history where God brought about world-changing transformation in 40-day periods.   40 Days for Life challenges everyone to ponder the meaning and value of the inalienable right to life from the prenatal period to the elderly, those with disabilities, the impoverished and the under- represented groups in our society during the 40 days of lent.

Please help to spread the word about this important pro life community outreach.   For more information about 40 Days for Life, to get prayer resources and prolife mediations for the rosary or to register for a time slot to pray during Lent, please visit   You can email if you have questions or would like to volunteer to help.
