Living Rosary Lets Children Take the Lead

Lower Grade Faith Development classes led the parish in the Glorious Mysteries as part of Faith First Weekend.

On Sunday, May 7th the children of the parish led a living rosary between the Sunday Masses. This Faith First event brought generations together to pray one of the most beloved and distinctive Roman Catholic prayers.

Each grade represented a decade (Kindergarten, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, grades 4-5) and  each child represented a bead of the rosary. Each child held s balloon to signify a bead and form the rosary, releasing them at the end.  The remnants were left behind for 11 am Mass, drawing the attention of parishioners as they filled the church. Father Robert acknowledge the floating rosary during his homily, speaking on the children's witness to their faith.
