Living Life "Inside Out": 2018 Piedmont Deanery Middle School Retreat

Middle Schoolers from across the deanery came together this past weekend at Camp Chestnut Ridge to learn all about their self-worth & identity in Christ.

6 Holy Infant youth, including 2 teen leaders, joined 40 other youth from the Piedmont Deanery for the INSIDE OUT retreat, based on 1 Samuel 16:7.

"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the LORD does not see as mortals see; they look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.' "

The event included:

  • A fun & interactive relay race
  • Sessions on our identity in Christ, community building, adoration, & reconciliation
  • Praise & Worship through song & dance
  • Adoration at the Outdoor Chapel
  • Morning Rosary
  • Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation
  • A Service Project for Catholic Charities
  • Celebration of Mass

A special thank you to Hope Labriola and Isabella Carpenter, two of our TYM teens, who kicked off the retreat by leading the opening session.  Everyone who attended the retreat left with a smile on their face & joy in their heart!
