Over 35 Pounds of Food Donated Through the Lettuce Pray Program

The Holy Infant Community Garden ministry collected produce from home gardeners participating in the Lettuce Pray program.

The Lettuce Pray program, which asks home gardeners to plant an extra row in their gardens to donate, collected produce last weekend. On behalf of the Holy Infant Community Garden ministry, co-chairs Bobi Gallagher and Joanie Novak would like to thank everyone who participated!

The following items and amounts were collected: 

Cucumbers: 18 lbs

Green beans: 1.25 lbs

Tomatoes/cherry tomatoes: 8.75 lbs

Chard: 1.5 lbs

Squash: 6 lbs

Okra: 0.5 lbs 

Herbs: 0.25 lbs

Eggs: 3 dozen

Total: 36.25 Lbs of Food and 3 dozen eggs!

The collected produce and eggs are donated to feed our neighbors in the Durham community. Thank you for your support!
