Join the Holy Infant CROP Hunger Walk team!

Join Holy Infant's Durham CROP Hunger Walk team!  We invite walkers and donors to help us fight hunger and poverty in our community and worldwide. It's a fun and easy way to make a difference!

The walk kicks off at 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 25, starting at the Duke Chapel on Duke's West Campus. Walkers can meet at 1:15 PM at Holy Infant to carpool or gather with the group at 2 PM at the Duke Chapel. Participants may choose from routes of various distances, ranging from 1.8 to 4.8 miles. This event brings together people of all ages, races, and faiths in an amazing display of community, making our walk the second largest in the nation!   Durham CROP Hunger Walk donations are used to fight hunger and poverty. 75% goes to Church World Service for global initiatives, and 25% stays in Durham County and is used by Durham Congregations in Action (DCIA) to help our neighbors in need.  In order to best serve the most vulnerable in our county, DCIA then allocates its funds to twelve hunger-fighting agencies in Durham, including agencies that Holy Infant works with directly like Urban Ministries of Durham, Families Moving Forward and Meals on Wheels.

Beans & Rice Meal Before the CROP Hunger Walk

This year, prior to joining the greater Durham community at the 44th annual CROP Hunger Walk, join your Holy Infant family for a beans & rice meal. Come partake in this simple meal while listening to a presentation by Joanie Novak on her experience with Guatemalan Missions. All CROP Hunger Walk participants are encouraged to attend. The meal will begin at 12:30 PM (after the 11 AM Mass).
