Holy Infant Teens and Families Participate in the 4th Annual Triangle Rise Against Hunger Event

Volunteers helped prepare thousands of meals for our vulnerable neighbors.

In February, Confirmation I Candidates & their families participated in the 4th Annual Triangle Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event at Triangle Presbyterian.  The goal this year was to pack 100,000 meals over the course of the day.  During the 2 hour shift, Holy Infant volunteers helped make nearly 50,000 meals.   This organization’s mission is to continue to provide food & life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable.  In 2017, the organizations aid was targeted in the Caribbean after several devastating hurricanes.

The Rise Against Hunger meals Holy Infant volunteers helped package were sent in a shipping container, holding 213,840 meals, to Dominican Republic for the Triangle Rise Against Hunger partner CitiHope International. CitiHope International is an organization that nourishes lives through food assistance and other services in Dominican Republic.
