Holy Infant Stewardship Fair to Coincide with Pentecost

As we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, let us examine how we can give of our time and talent to the church and our community.

You're invited to join fellow parishioners at 2017 Holy Infant Stewardship Fair on June 3 & 4 after all Masses. The theme of the fair is "Holy Infant, A Stewardship Parish."

"Father Robert has indicated a desire to increase the involvement of parishioners in the various ministries and programs at Holy Infant. The purpose of the fair is to inform members of the parish on stewardship opportunities and invite YOU to get involved," said Earl Hadden, Stewardship Commission Chair.

There are five commissions with over 60 ministries that fall under them.

The Faith Development Commission helps to discern the faith development needs of parishioners at all stages of faith life. The purview of this commission is the Rite of the Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), all sacramental preparation, and faith formation of all members of the Holy Infant community at every stage of Christian life.

Our Liturgical Commission is is made up of the Coordinators for each liturgical ministry, along with the Pastor and the Director of Music and Liturgy.  The goal of the commission is to "enrich and support the faith community of Holy Infant by acknowledging God’s presence in the preparation and celebration of liturgical life in our parish."

The Parish Life Commission works to develop "parish inreach" through community building and fellowship and offering programs and events to enrich and support the lives of the members of Holy Infant. Ministries like the Hospitality Committee, Stephen Ministry and Knights of Columbus fall under this commission.

The Peace, Justice & Human Concerns Commission works to promote awareness within the parish regarding social justice issues. It seeks to publicize opportunities for outreach activities, provide educational materials and make suggestions to the pastor concerning the disbursement of Charity and Justice Funds. Ministries like the Holy Infant Community Garden and the Urban Ministries of Durham Dinners fall under this commission.

Our Stewardship Commission interprets this sharing of the 3T’s (Time, Talent and Treasure) by inviting each member of our parish community to especially welcome new members to our parish community, introduce new members to stewardship and reinforce the call of stewardship to the parish community. The Bishop's Annual Appeal and the We Remember You Capital Campaign are under this commission.

All ministries will be represented at the Stewardship Fair on June 3 & 4. Come join in fellowship and prayerfully consider what ministries you feel called to serve!

In case of rain, the Stewardship Fair will be rescheduled for the following weekend, June 10 & 11.
