Holy Infant serves over 175 at Urban Ministries of Durham Dinner

With the help of parishioners' donations, the Urban Ministries of Durham dinner ministry coordinated food and served a spaghetti dinner.

The Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD) offers a variety of services to the homeless of the Durham community. Holy Infant Parishioners help UMD by providing and/ or serving the evening meal at the UMD homeless shelter on the third Sunday of 10 months per year. The Holy Infant ministry recently served over 175 of our Durham neighbors a spaghetti dinner.

"Many thanks for your generous food donations!  We recently served a wonderful spaghetti dinner to more than 175 of our neighbors in downtown Durham. Thank you also to our awesome group of servers!" said the ministry coordinators, Carol Ann Applegate, Deb Lewis and Gail Spiridigliozzi.

The next dinner at the homeless shelter will be on Sunday, March 19 and feature submarine sandwiches and "fixins." Please see the pink sign-up sheet in the Atrium to donate a food item or volunteer to serve.  All food is due in the Holy Infant Church kitchen by 4:30 PM on March 19.
