Children's Liturgy of the Word is Back!

Children and parents are invited to take part in Children's Liturgy of the Word, geared towards 3 to 6-year-olds, during Mass on Sundays.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a prayerful way that allows children to deepen and explore their relationship with God.  It provides an environment for children to listen and respond to God’s Word at their own level of understanding with their peers.

During most Sunday Masses (8:30 AM & 11 AM) during the school year, Holy Infant offers Children's Liturgy of the Word. Children arrive at Mass with their parents and join the assembly for the introductory rites. After the opening prayer, Father invites the children to attend their own special Liturgy of the Word by calling them forward. The children receive a blessing and then are led from the church to the Jane de Chantal Room by an adult leader. Children listen to God’s Word and ponder its meaning in a way suited to their abilities and interests. At the conclusion of the Liturgy of the Word the children rejoin their parents and the assembly to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist with.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is geared toward 3-6 year-olds. Parents are welcome, especially the first time, so you become familiar with what your children are experiencing. This is a great way to make the Mass even more meaningful for our children. All are welcome and invited to join!
