Bishop Zarama responds to shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio

'The love of God is the best medicine to destroy the cancer of violence that consumes our nation.'

The Most Rev. Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama urgers prayers for victims and their families after the latest string of mass shootings. He writes that we live in a society where God and love have been silenced.

"In our country we say: 'In God We Trust' but we have gradually taken God out of public life, relegating him to the sacristies of the churches. He is a God who has been silenced and with him, the law of Love," Bishop Zarama writes.
