Bishop Zarama makes annual appeal: Rebuild, Renew & Rejoice

"... Serve each other so that we can better serve others."

In a video message shown at Masses the weekend of February 2 and 3, Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama appealed to parishioners to serve each other so that they may better serve others.

The Bishop’s Annual Appeal is a combined effort of all parishes and parishioners in the Diocese of Raleigh and supports essential ministries that respond to pastoral and spiritual needs at every parish and ministry.

“None of us can do it alone. Together, we will renew our faith and hope -- and we will rejoice that we are a growing Church in Eastern North Carolina,” said Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama.

Longtime parishioner John Archibald urged parishioners at weekend Masses to participate, no matter the dollar amount.

Here are just a few of the ministries supported by your gifts to the BAA:

  • The oils used at our parish for Baptisms, Anointing of the Sick, Confirmation and Ordination are blessed at the annual Chrism Mass.
  • Seminarians David Miller and Noe Ramirez will be ordained to priesthood in 2019.
  • NC Catholics magazine is delivered to over 80,000 homes six times a year

These ministries and more benefit from the combined contributions of all parishes and parishioners in the diocese who support the BAA each year. Click here for more information on how to make your donation.
