Announcing a DeSales Service Works Mission Trip

Parish youth and others interested in the experience are invited to attend the mission trip in Camden, NJ from August 11 - 17.
Desales Service Works (DSW) is a project of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in Camden, New Jersey. DSW exists to impact the lives of others and to Live Jesus! The mission trip provide opportunities for face-to-face service, and works to change the lives of those served and to expand the mindset of those who serve. All efforts seek to improve struggling neighborhoods while recognizing the goodness of these impoverished communities.
Service retreats offer people of all ages the opportunity to get away, reflect, pray and serve people in need. All retreat themes are rooted in the core teaching of St. Francis de Sales and involve direct service, facilitated reflection, presentations on Catholic social teaching, prayer and opportunity to celebrate Eucharist.
Holy Infant is privileged to host a DSW retreat in Camden. We invite youth or anyone who would like to join for this  mission trip to experience the Christian worldview of St. Francis de Sales, which believes in the power of Salesian gentleness, humility, and optimism.

The group will depart for Camden on August 11 and return to Durham on August 17.

Cost is currently variable but $35 per day, to cover the cost of housing, is suggested in addition to transportation costs.

A $100 deposit is required to register, with the remainder due at the time of the trip. Scholarships are available.
