Councils

Those wishing to serve on either of the following councils must be a registered member of Holy Infant contributing Time, Talent and Treasure for at least one year.

Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)

The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is to collaboratively plan with the Pastor the means of carrying out the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as embodied in the mission statement of Holy Infant Parish.  While the PPC is not a decision-making body, it does work closely with the Pastor to fulfill the mission of the parish.  The council works in good faith to advise and confer with the Pastor on matters regarding the parish.  The Pastor shall consider the advice of the PPC in a serious and thoughtful manner.  Parish commissions, ministries and other committees of the PPC may be formed to carry out specific aspects of this mission.

The PPC consists of up to fourteen registered parishioners of Holy Infant Parish, including both commission chairs as well as at-large members.  PPC members can be either elected or appointed by the pastor and serve a term of three years.  The PPC has regular meetings about every month from September to May.

Council members advise the pastor on development and management of parish resources. The Parish Finance Council has the obligation of planning, providing for, and supervising the temporal affairs of the parish. The Council normally meets 5–6 times per year. Council Terms are for three years.
