Mass Intentions

Offering a Mass for a special intention is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church.  Masses are offered for many reasons: for the souls in purgatory; in remembrance of someone who is deceased; for someone who is ill; for someone celebrating a special occasion.

Mass Intentions are published weekly in the Sunday bulletin. Mass Intentions are a personal donation, but the suggested amount is $10. This signifies the sacrificial nature of giving of something of yourself to associate more intimately with Christ who offers himself in the Eucharist.

Mass Intentions can be requested for loved ones, both living and deceased. Mass is celebrated on a specific day where your loved one's name will be remembered during the Prayers of the Faithful. The intention will also be listed on the parish calendar and in the bulletin. We will review and respond to your mass intention request within two business days on Monday through Thursday. (Please note: the bulletin is prepared ten days in advance, so intentions requested after that date will not be listed in the bulletin.)
