The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales have served Holy Infant since its founding in 1970, bringing Salesian spirituality to our parish. The Oblates are celebrating the 2022 Double Salesian Jubilee: the 400th anniversary of the death of St. Francis de Sales (1622) and the 450th anniversary of the birth of St. Jane de Chantal (1572).
The primary charism of the Oblates is to "Live Jesus" by imitating Christ, following the optimistic spirit and teachings of their founder while ministering to the people of God in the modern world in a gentle and humble way.
Salesian spirituality is a vision for living the Gospel as learned, lived and shared by St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal. Its first disciples were the Sisters of the Visitation of Holy Mary, a community of contemplative women established by these two saints in 1610.
