RCIA for Children

Unbaptized children who have reached the age of reason (age seven and older) follow the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults adapted for Children.

Unbaptized children who have reached the age of reason (age seven and older) follow the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The preparation process is adapted according to the developmental level of the child. The initiation process reaches its culmination with the celebration of all three sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

For the Baptism of children under the age of seven the guidelines for the Baptism of Infants apply.
