There are many different ways that we may be called to serve. Below are some things that we have done in the past:

- Sandwich ministry: in the morning, participants make sandwiches and distribute them at lunchtime to the homeless who come to the door. Located at the Cathedral.
- New Visions day shelter: a "living room" for the homeless. The task here is mostly to connect with the homeless, listen to their stories and see them as individuals, with their own history and dreams.
- Holy Name School: Located across the alley from the retreat center, the school is central to the community, and a source of many projects, from painting to cleaning.
- Housing project: Sister Claire often invites participants to accompany her to the housing development, where they organize activities for the local children - jumping rope, sidewalk drawing, ball games, etc.
- We may also be given the opportunity to observe some local projects that are addressing different needs in Camden.

What does a day in Camden look like?
- Morning Prayer
- Tour of local project, with a chance to help out
- lunch
- service project
- dinner
- discussion about the day's activities
- evening prayer
- free time / games

Our official schedule will be arranged much closer to our arrival, as it depends on the needs present in the community, and the availability of different individuals and/or programs. This is just a sample. There is often daily Mass, but the time varies. And activities are also subject to last minute changes.

How do meals work? We will be cooking for our own group, with supplies provided by DSW. At least one meal will be with items "purchased" from the food bank in the basement. Most likely, we will divide into groups, and take turns cooking and cleaning up.
