This year we're excited to offer children Grades 3 through 8 the opportunity to sing as part of a special choir for the 4:00pm Mass on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24.
In addition to leading the assembly in song during Mass, the children will present a service of lessons and carols beginning approximately 3:30pm before Mass begins. We'll be singing a wide range of music in different styles and traditions, many familiar carols and some new. Our aim is not only to enrich our parish with beautiful music but also to provide an experience for the choir members to grow as disciples of Christ and young ministers of music.
Requirements for participation are...
Choir members are expected to remain on task for rehearsals and during the liturgy, in addition to being respectful to their peers and adult leaders.
In order to comply with safe environment guidelines, several parent chaperones who have completed safe environment training and are eligible to volunteer are needed each time we gather. Please indicate your willingness to serve as a chaperone on the registration.
If your child is in high school, they are eligible to sing as part of one of our regular choirs for Christmas or any time during the year.
If you have any questions, please email the director of music, Jeff Rice
