I am honored to have been chosen by Fr. Robert as the Director of Liturgy and Music. I was born in Texas and was very involved in different styles of music throughout my childhood, teens and college years where I met my husband, Jim. I have a voice performance degree and have taught music, directed choirs and served in liturgy since college.
Jim and I moved to Ohio in 1990 and then to Chapel Hill in 1996. We are blessed with three children: Charlie (23), Katie (21), and Grace (17) and are a multi-racial family built through adoption. We have lived in Creedmoor since 2013 where my children have been very active in football and band.
My role as a Director of Music for the Catholic church began in Ohio 30 years ago. I have served within the Diocese of Raleigh since 1996, first at the Newman Center Parish in Chapel Hill, then at St. Ann in Clayton and most recently at St. Catherine of Siena in Wake Forest. I am excited about our new church building and share that this will be my third time to take part in the consecration of a new church.
My family and I are very happy to become part of our new parish and I hope I am here as the Director of Liturgy and Music for many years to come.
