This Easter our liturgies will be livestreamed, following diocesan guidelines, due to the current pandemic. Our parish continues to be vibrantly active, with parishioners attending livestream liturgies and liturgical events as well as joining together via Zoom meetings, even Zoom music rehearsals and phone calls – supporting one another through Young Adult meetings, prayer groups and Faith Development for our teens.
Our Easter collections are extremely important to the continued activity of our parish and to the priests who have served our faith community and diocese.
Easter Offertory
Your contribution to this year's Easter Offertory is an opportunity to express your commitment to maintaining Holy Infant's financial well-being and continued vibrancy, even during this crisis. Our budgeted goal for this offertory is $18,000, which is significantly greater than our regular weekend collections, due to having far larger attendance at the Easter liturgies. This special offertory provides the necessary support for our parish activities, programs and services, that are continuing as much as possible under our current restrictions, and we hope to get back to our customary activities as soon as it is safe to do so.
Priests' Welfare & Retirement Fund
The second collection will be for the Priests' Welfare and Retirement Fund. This collection provides for our senior priests throughout the Diocese. These men have been paid a modest stipend during active ministry and receive Social Security benefits that are quite small compared to others with similar years of service. Your contribution will help us tangibly express our gratitude as a community for the sacrifice and service of these priests!
We ask that you prayerfully consider contributing to both of these important collections.
Easter Flowers
Thank you to those who have contributed to Easter flowers! Unfortunately, we won’t be decorating the church as lavishly as usual for Easter this year, as we won’t be able to celebrate together in person. However, we’re planning a Welcome Back Celebration when it is safe to do so and will be using the Easter flower collection to purchase the flowers for those liturgies. We’ll also publish at that time the names and intentions of all who have contributed. If you would like to donate flowers for our Welcome Back liturgy, use your Easter Flowers envelope, or choose Easter Flowers from the online options.
Thank you for your ongoing generosity, sharing so freely the gifts with which you have been blessed. Your generosity and commitment to Holy Infant are a large part of what makes us such a special parish!
